Fear-Free Birth Class (In-person, group)

Hi! If you are nervous about giving birth, don't worry. You aren't alone. Television, movies, social media, and hearing stories about other people's birth experiences can easily leave you feeling overwhelmed and scared about giving birth! 

The good news is that birth doesn't have to be scary. You can have an amazing hospital birth experience where you are in confident and  in-control, your choices are respected, and you feel supported and at peace throughout the process, no matter what happens during your labor. How do I know? Because I have had three beautiful, unmedicated hospital births- one of which was completely uninterrupted, and I even caught my own baby just as I had requested. I am also a doula that specializes in hospital births . I have had the honor of helping my clients and class participants have wonderful hospital birth experiences, too. Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to birth. Did you know that you have rights as a woman in labor? Did you know that you can say no to anything you don't feel comfortable with? Throughout this class, I will teach you everything I know about birth planning, preparing your body to give birth, possible interventions and options for birth, and what you expect every step of the way from your first contraction to the first few weeks postpartum. We will also practice comfort measures and techniques, positions, and relaxation techniques so that you and your partner are both feeling confident and prepared to birth without fear!
