Birth & Postpartum Doula Childbirth Educator Thompson Method Breastfeeding Educator
I’m a birth and postpartum doula serving families in Roanoke, Virginia, and the surrounding areas. Since beginning my journey as a doula, I’ve had the privilege of supporting over 200 families through some of the most transformative moments of their lives. My approach is rooted in compassion, evidence-based care, and unwavering advocacy—because every family deserves to feel supported, informed, and truly heard.
Beyond the skills and experience I bring to birth work, my greatest calling is to serve others with Christ-like love. My faith is the foundation of everything I do, and it guides the care I provide. I believe that birth is a sacred, God-designed process, and I approach it with deep reverence and prayer. Whether it’s offering words of encouragement, praying over a mother in labor, or simply being a peaceful presence in the birth space, I strive to reflect God’s love in every interaction.
My passion for helping others started long before I became a doula. In 2009, I earned my Associate’s Degree from Emmanuel University and began working as a Behavioral Health Support Specialist, guiding young adults with special needs. A few years later, I stepped into the role of Life Enrichment Coordinator at Richfield Living, where I worked closely with residents and their families to ensure they received meaningful, person-centered care. That experience shaped so much of who I am today—teaching me the importance of advocacy, education, and building genuine relationships. Eventually, I accepted a leadership position as a Neighborhood Coordinator, where I worked to create lasting culture change and shift the focus toward individualized, holistic care.
My heart has always been drawn to birth work. After welcoming my third baby in March of 2020, I finally followed the deep calling to support other parents in their journeys. I began training as a Thompson Method Breastfeeding Educator and Certified Labor and Postpartum Doula, and in 2022, I founded Born Motherhood LLC. Now, I walk alongside families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond—offering not just support, but true companionship in a season that can feel both beautiful and overwhelming.
I specialize in VBAC support, C-section support, loss and bereavement care, lactation education, childbirth education, and birth and postpartum planning. I’m also a birth assistant with Full Well Midwifery, which allows me to work even more closely with families choosing midwifery-led care. No matter what your journey looks like, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to make the choices that are best for you and your baby.
I believe deeply in holistic and individualized care, which is why I use a variety of approaches based on each family’s unique needs. I’m here to meet you where you are and help you feel confident in your body and your birth experience. For those who desire faith-based support, I am honored to incorporate prayer, scripture, and encouragement rooted in God’s word to bring peace and strength to the birth space.
Beyond birth work, I love giving back to my community. I volunteer at the Blue Ridge Women’s Center, mentor new doulas, serve in my church, and continue to expand my knowledge by studying herbalism. When I’m not supporting families, you can usually find me in my garden or spending quality time with my own family—soaking in the little moments that make life so sweet.
If you’re looking for a doula who will truly walk beside you with warmth, knowledge, and faith-filled support, I would love to connect. Your journey into motherhood is one of the most sacred times in your life, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.
