Ryan Sesker
Labor Doula & Sibling Doula
My journey into doula work began with a deep love for supporting others and a profound respect for the birthing process. I believe that every birth story is as unique as the family experiencing it, and it is truly an honor to walk alongside parents as they bring new life into the world. Whether you envision a peaceful home birth, a hospital delivery, or something in between, my goal is to help you create an experience that feels right for you.
As a Certified Labor Doula, I understand that birth and postpartum can be both beautiful and overwhelming. My approach is always centered on warmth, patience, and unwavering support, ensuring that you feel confident, heard, and cared for every step of the way. I strive to be a calming presence, offering reassurance and encouragement so you can focus on the incredible journey of bringing your baby into the world.
Beyond birth work, I have nearly four years of experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), working with children of all ages and abilities. This background has shaped me into a compassionate and intuitive sibling doula, helping older children feel secure, loved, and engaged while their parents focus on labor, recovery, and bonding with their newborn. I know how important it is for families to feel supported during this transition, and I am dedicated to creating a joyful and nurturing environment for everyone involved.
In addition to my work with Born Motherhood LLC, I am a third-year psychology student at Hollins University, where I am deepening my understanding of child development and mental health. My studies, combined with my hands-on experience, allow me to provide families with holistic, thoughtful, and informed support. After graduation, I plan to continue my journey in family-centered care by becoming a midwife, blending my background in psychology and child development with my passion for birth work.
I consider it a privilege to be part of such a transformational time in a family’s life. Whether I’m offering encouragement in the delivery room, creating a joyful space for older siblings, or simply holding space for a mother’s emotions, my goal is always the same—to provide compassionate, thoughtful, and personalized support so every family feels nurtured, empowered, and truly cared for.
