Ayla is dedicated to empowering and supporting women on their motherhood journey. With a background in education, social work, and person-centered care, she founded Born Motherhood LLC to foster a community of support for women and families.
Her own birth and breastfeeding experiences inspired Ayla's desire to finally follow her life-long desire to become a certified doula and educator. It is her belief that every family deserves support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Ayla aims to create a nurturing environment for her team members and the families they serve together to ensure that parents feel informed, supported, and confident to make choices that they feel good about.
When she isn't at a birth or teaching classes, Ayla enjoys gardening, serving in church, studying herbalism, and spending time with her husband, three children, and their two dogs.
Chelseah Hylton
Birth & Postpartum Doula
Chelseah is a mama to three boys and resident of Floyd County, VA. She enjoys traveling to local areas to support clients. Her interests include weight lifting, conditioning, outdoor activities, and herbal medicine & supplementation, which compliment her work as a doula. She began practicing doula work in 2015 and is experienced in supporting hospital, birth center, and home birth. It is her goal to help every client achieve a safe, informed, and courageous birth experience.
Ryan Sesker
Doula Apprentice
Ryan is a psychology student at Hollins University who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on families. She currently works as a caregiver and support person for children on the Autism Spectrum.
Ashley Ewton
Doula Apprentice
Ashley has a variety of experience in the healthcare field. For the past several years, she has been a professional nanny and household organizer. Ashley has a gift for creating organization and household systems to help parents feel less overwhelmed and find joy in their parenting journey. Ashley is kind, creative and loyal. When she isn't serving families, you can find her pet sitting and snuggling with a doggie.
